OBSCURA VOL.1 of 3 presents a series of handcrafted jewellery pieces celebrating the rare and wonderful marine species hidden beneath the surface across Australia’s lesser-known, thriving, Great Southern Reef.   

Realised in 10-karat and 18-karat yellow gold, white gold, platinum or black rhodium, the collection champions three considered design stories. Inspired by the hypnotic movement of giant kelp forests, the Golden Kelp story is defined by gradients of inverted white and Australian Argyle champagne diamonds, set in undulating silhouettes to form bold hoops, statement rings and necklaces.

Tracing the organic form of responsibly sourced South Sea Keshi Pearls, elevated drop earrings and standout pendants from the Pearl story are handcrafted with flowing settings manipulated by hand.

Exploring the leaf-like appendage of the Weedy Sea Dragon, intricate pieces from the Sea Dragon story are precisely cast as earrings, pendants and a permanent SOLDERED bracelet, designed for everyday layering. To safeguard the future of this rare and near-threatened species, twenty percent of the proceeds from our Sea Dragon Necklace will be directed towards the Australian Marine Conservation Society, founding partner of The Xanthe Project™.
