We are proud to celebrate the opening of our newest Melbourne store on High Street, Armadale. Designed in collaboration with Richard Stanisich architects, the luxurious space invokes a residential sensibility that invites clients to spend time immersed in our fine jewellery collections and full suite of luxury services including Ear Alchemy piercing, bridal consultations, and Soldered permanent bracelets. Preserving the beauty of the building’s original neo-classical facade, heritage features and contemporary design converge, creating a space that is at once ornamental and restrained.

From a design perspective, the space feels akin to our growing network of signature SARAH & SEBASTIAN stores, however, speaks a language all its own. Defined by a series of considered tensions, opposing elements are masterfully combined to create moments for pause, for connection and for contemplation. Here, plush organic banquet seating is contrasted by angular, minimalist display cabinets. The piece de resistance, our arched vaulted ceiling, is embellished with hand-applied silver leaf and remains in dialogue with the luminescent seaweed green flooring below, each gently reflecting the other with a soft glow.

Throughout the space, heavy-weight linens with custom ruching provide softness and texture, while hand-blown glass cloches reminiscent of oyster shells reveal a selection of fine pieces beneath. Emerging from the original hallway, private rooms and concealed alcoves host our range of services; our gallery-style Fine Jewellery Library showcases some of our most coveted designs and in a separate nook, a Soldered Bar offers our permanent jewellery experience.

Behind a second set of glass doors lies a private room with an original fireplace, featuring round-table seating for intimate discussions and a one-of-a-kind custom-aged mirror adorned with 24-karat gold leaf. Here, diamond specialists host engagement and wedding appointments with our signature and bespoke ring offering, as well as fine jewellery consultations. Hidden away from view, our Piercing Lab is awash in olive green, becoming the first luxury piercing destination in Armadale. Ear Alchemy Piercing and styling appointments are conducted here under the expert guidance of our piercing team.

To celebrate our Armadale store opening, Sarah & Sebastian is thrilled to introduce Ear Alchemy Spa, a world-first luxury experience dedicated to professional earring clean and care.
