ETHOS

OUR PRECIOUS FUTURE

The ocean is at the heart of all we create. With an ongoing commitment to preserving the intricate nature of our Australian landscape, we’ve dedicated our philanthropic initiative The Xanthe Project to ocean conservation and ensure responsible craftsmanship and procurement are prioritised throughout our supply chain.

We are a certified member of the Responsible Jewellery Council (RJC) and comply with the Kimberley Process, governing how we choose our diamonds. We proudly operate a made-to-order service at our in-house studio in the heart of Sydney with volume manufacturing supported by trusted network of international manufacturers, each RJC certified.

Together, we envision a future where nature thrives undisturbed.

CERTIFIED MEMBER

Responsible Jewellery Council

As the first Australian jewellery studio to be a certified RJC member, we’re proud to join an esteemed international community of industry leaders.

The Responsible Jewellery Council is a global organisation that sets strict standards for upholding responsible business practices within the jewellery industry. Our journey to certification involved a rigorous independent audit against the Responsible Jewellery Council’s Code of Practices. Their comprehensive code encompasses responsible management of supply chains, proactive measures to mitigate environmental impact, safeguarding human rights and labor rights, and ensuring transparent product disclosures.

We’ve adopted several policies in support of this commitment, defining what SARAH & SEBASTIAN expects of its employees, internal operations and external suppliers.

THE XANTHE PROJECT

Since 2019, we've been deeply committed to ocean conservation. Our partnership with the Australian Marine Conservation Society marked the start of our journey, during which we are proud to have donated over $195,700 to date.

As part of our 10th-anniversary celebrations in 2022, we launched The Xanthe Project. This philanthropic initiative leverages our platform to both raise awareness and provide financial support for ocean conservation. Xanthe Project™ partners include the Australian Marine Conservation Society, Ocean Impact Organisation, Take 3 for the Sea, and the Coral Sea Foundation's Sea Women program.

As of September 2023, our contributions to Xanthe Project partners have reached $170,171. But this is just the beginning. We're committed to giving over a million dollars to these organisations over the next decade.
